The technology surrounding aircards is relatively new, but it promises to become a driving force in the world of purely mobile internet connectivity. An aircard is a PCMCIA card which fits inside your laptop. The PCMCIA slot is a standard entry bay for laptops, and is used for peripheral devices like added USB ports, wireless internet cards, and portable disk drives.
