T-Mobile Wireless Internet
A new innovation has permeated the world of wireless communication. We have all heard of wireless internet, the process by which an internet signal is broadcast through thin air. However, traditional wireless internet has its limitations. A normal signal needs a wireless internet receiver to broadcast it, not to mention a wirelesss internet PCI or PCMCIA card (for desktops and laptops). And, to boot, the signal is usually limited to a 50 or 60 foot radius.
If you’re on the road and need internet access away from a phone line, a wireless internet receiver won’t help you. T-Mobile wireless internet cards are designed to function anywhere there is a T-Mobile signal. That means that stranded in the middle of Highway 90 in South Dakota, you have the internet signal that you need to find a tow truck.
A True Revolution
Our company features two T-Mobile wireless internet cards, the Sierra Wireless GPRS Aircard 750 and the Sony Ericsson GC79 GPRS/Wifi Card. The Sierra Wireless Aircard is equipped with a tri-band frequency, which makes full use of T-Mobile’s extensive coverage area. It is designed for use in a laptop, and it is capable of speeds up to 56k. That speed is perfect for basic internet applications like checking email and surfing the web.
Like the Aircard 750, the Sony Ericsson provides speeds up to 56k. Made exclusively for T-Mobile, it functions without an antenna and protrudes unobtrusively from the side of your laptop. Both of our featured T-Mobile aircards function as LAN adapters, which means they can be used to link other computers to the Internet as well.
